In Georgia, the longest cable car began to operate in the winter resort Gudauri.
The length of the new cable car in Gudauri is seven and a half kilometers. It connects the ski resort with the village Khobi high in the mountains.
To get to the end of the route, you will need to make three transfers along the way. At the same time, you can stay, relax, and have coffee or a snack. The journey time in one direction is about forty minutes.
The construction of the new cable car was carried out for almost a year and it cost more than 30 million dollars (81 million Gel).
On the lines of the cable car, there are 111 gondolas, which can carry up to three thousand passengers per hour. One-way ticket costs seven and a half dollars or 20 gel.
